وأشار عبدالرحيم إلى وجود لجنة تحقيق منفصلة شكلت بواسطة النائب العام بموجب قانون النائب العام للإجراءات الجنائية وبصفته صاحب المسؤولية لإقامة الدعاوى الجنائية، مبينا أن لجنة التحقيق العسكرية لا تمس كل الإجراءات التي اتخذت بواسطة النائب العام باعتباره صاحب الولاية العامة في هذا الشأن وستكون إجراءات اللجنة رهن إشارته متى ما طلب ذلك.
