أعلن مجلس صيانة الدستور في إيران، السبت، أنه أعاد إلى مجلس الشورى مشروع قانون يسمح للأمهات المتزوجات بأجانب بمنح أطفالهن الجنسية، معللا ذلك بمخاوف “أمنية”.
وفي بيان على موقعه الإلكتروني، أكد المجلس أن لا مشكلة لديه مع روحية مشروع القانون بل في غياب أي بنود تسمح للسلطات بالتعامل مع المشكلات “الأمنية” الناجمة عن أنشطة الآباء الأجانب.
وأعرب المجلس، الذي يضم رجال دين وقضاة، عن قلقه إزاء أن يكون مشروع القانون يسعى إلى منح الآباء الأجانب تأشيرات إقامة بشكل تلقائي، بينما يرى أنه يجب أن تحافظ الحكومة على صلاحياتها في رفض ذلك، وفق ما نقلت وكالة “إسنا” شبه الرسمية للأنباء عن النائبة، طيبة سيافوشي.
واعتبر مشروع القانون، الذي أقّر بأغلبية ساحقة في البرلمان في مايو خطوة كبيرة إلى الأمام بالنسبة لآلاف الأطفال المولودين في إيران لآباء أفغان ولا يحصلون على حقوقهم الاجتماعية كاملة.
