اعلن مساعد محافظ اربد رئيس مجلس الخدمات المشتركة لاقليم الشمال علي بطاينة ايقاف طرح النفايات الصلبة من بلديات الكورة في محطة تحويل النفايات وتحويلها الى محطة المنشية التي تمت اعادة تاهيلها اخيرا لحين اعادة تاهيل محطة الكورة.
وقال لــ(بترا) ان محطة تحويل المنشية التي اعيد تاهيلها تستقبل يوميا ما بين 250 الى 300 طن من النفايات لصلبة التي يجرب معالجتها بالكبس في المحطة ومن ثم نقلها في ناقلات مجهزة وعددها خمسة الى مكب الاكيدر الذي تم تاهيله مسبقا لهذه الغاية، لافتا الى عزم وزارة الادارة المحلية اعادة تاهيل محطتي الكورة والطيبة.
واضاف ان عمليات تاهيل محطة المنشية التي نفذتها وزارة الادارة المحلية بتعاون مع الحكومة الكندية وبكلفة 1,5 مليون دولار حولت المحطة من بؤرة ساخنة بيئيا الى معلم بيئي من خلال طمر النفايات في اعماق تراوحت ما بين 6 امتار الى 30 مترا وشهدت المحطة تحسينات على عمليات المعالجة برفع كفاءة المكابس وعمليات النقل للنفايات الكمبوسة وبشكل يومي حيث تم التوقف كليا عن طمر اي كمية من النفايات التي ترد الى المحطة من البلديات.
