دعا الاتحاد الأوروبي الاثنين إيران إلى “وقف” كل أنشطتها لتخصيب اليورانيوم المخالفة لالتزاماتها الواردة في الاتفاق المبرم مع القوى الكبرى حول ملفها النووي.
وقالت المتحدثة باسم الدبلوماسية الأوروبية مايا كوسيانسيتش “نحض إيران بقوة على وقف أنشطتها التي تتعارض مع التزاماتها الواردة في إطار الاتفاق النووي والعودة عنها”، مضيفة أن الاتحاد الاوروبي”قلق جدا” إزاء ما أعلنته إيران في نهاية الأسبوع.
ونقلت وسائل الإعلام شبه الرسمية في إيران عن الناطق باسم منظمة الطاقة الذرية الإيرانية بهروز كمال وندي قوله إن طهران تقوم الآن بتخصيب اليورانيوم بنسبة 4.5 بالمائة.
وقال كمال وندي إن هذا القرار يلبي الاحتياجات التي لدى إيران حاليا.
ويأتي هذا بعد يوم من إعلان إيران أنها بصدد خرق الحد المسموح به وهو 3.67 بالمائة المنصوص عليه ضمن بنود اتفاقها النووي لعام 2015 مع القوى العالمية.
وكانت طهران قد كسرت في وقت سابق حدا لمخزونها من اليورانيوم منخفض التخصيب.
وتطالب إيران أوروبا بالتوصل إلى طريقة لمساعدتها على بيع نفطها الخام في الخارج، وتجاوز العقوبات الأميركية، حيث ترى أن الآلية الأوروبية التي تتيح لطهران التزود بالاحتياجات الأساسية من الغذاء والدواء، غير كافية.
ويأتي ذلك وسط تصاعد حدة التوتر مع الولايات المتحدة التي حذرت إيران من المضي قدما في تجاوز حدود تخصيب اليورانيوم المسموح بها ضمن الاتفاق النووي.
وقال الرئيس الأميركي، دونالد ترامب إن “على إيران أن تكون حذرة، لأنّها تقوم بالتخصيب لسببٍ واحد، ولن أقول ما هو هذا السبب. لكنّه ليس جيّدًا. من الأفضل أن يكونوا حذرين”.
واتفاق فيينا وقع في يوليو 2015 بين إيران ومجموعة الدول الست الكبرى التي تضم الولايات المتحدة والصين وفرنسا وبريطانيا وروسيا وألمانيا.
