زار وفد من جمعية الشؤون الدولية برئاسة الدكتور عبد السلام المجالي اليوم الأحد، المديرية العامة لقوات الدرك، والتقوا مديرها العام اللواء الركن حسين محمد الحواتمة.
ورحب المدير العام لقوات الدرك بالوفد الضيف مشيداً بدور الجمعية الهام في نشر الوعي السياسي والثقافي، وتوضيح مواقف الأردن حيال مختلف القضايا المحلية والدولية، وإثراء الحوار الوطني الهادف لوضع الحلول ومواجهة التحديات.
وأكد الحواتمة أن الأردن بقيادة جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني، يقدم دوراً قيادياً في الدفاع عن قضايا الأمة وثوابتها ومقدساتها على المستوى الدولي والإقليمي، في إطار استراتيجي يضع المصالح الوطنية وأمن الأردن على سلم الأولويات.
وأضاف الحواتمة أن منظومة الأمن الوطني الأردني تعمل في ظل التوجيهات الملكية الحكيمة بتنسيق وتكامل أكسبها القدرة على تحقيق التوازن الاستراتيجي في حفظ الأمن الداخلي وحماية مقدرات الدولة وحدودها، مؤكداً أن القوات المسلحة والأجهزة الأمنية الأردنية في حالة استعداد تام للتعامل مع شتى التحديات بكفاءة عالية. وبين الحواتمة أن قوات الدرك أفردت جزءاً كبيراً من قدراتها لدعم السلم المجتمعي وتعزيز الفكر الوطني والقيم النافعة لدى شباب الوطن، إيماناً منها بأن تماسك الجبهة الداخلية وسلامة قيمها أحد أهم عناصر قوة الدولة في مواجهة التحديات والمتغيرات الأمنية.
وأوضح الحواتمة أن التعامل مع الظواهر الأمنية لا بد أن يمر عبر مرحلة وقائية تعتمد البناء الثقافي والقيمي للتعامل مع الجريمة والسلوكيات الخاطئة في المجتمع قبل وقوعها، وفي حال وقوع الحدث الأمني -لا قدر الله- لا بد من مرحلة ثالثة لمعالجة آثاره، لافتاً إلى أهمية التعاون والتنسيق بين المؤسسات الوطنية لصياغة وتنفيذ هذه المراحل .
بدوره أشاد الأمين العام لجمعية الشؤون الدولية الفريق الركن المتقاعد فاضل علي السرحان بالمستوى الرفيع والمتقدم الذي وصلت إليه قوات الدرك، مشيراً إلى الفكر الأمني المتطور، والتخطيط السليم الذي قاد قوات الدرك إلى تحقيق أعلى درجات التميز المحلي والدولي.
واطلع الوفد الضيف خلال الزيارة على إيجاز لنشأة وتطور قوات الدرك، وأهم الاستراتيجيات والخطط الأمنية والمهام التي تضطلع بها، ونشاطها الدولي المتعلق ببناء القدرات، وتبادل الخبرات، والمساهمة في حفظ الأمن والسلم الدوليين تحت مظلة الأمم المتحدة، والمنظمة الدولية لقوات الشرطة والدرك. كما دار حوار في نهاية اللقاء ثمن من خلاله أعضاء الجمعية الجهود المبذولة من منتسبي المديرية العامة لقوات الدرك، معربين عن ثقتهم بقدرتها على أداء دورها المحوري في منظومة أمن الوطن بكفاءة عالية، في ظل التوجيهات الحكيمة لجلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني، القائد الأعلى للقوات المسلحة.
