ADFD finances development of 5 government university colleges in Jordan

e Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) participated in the inauguration of 5 ADFD-funded government university colleges in Jordan at a value of 80.3 million dirhams ($21.87 million) within the ADFD program for public universities development, which includes 27 projects with a total value of 466 million dirhams ($126.89 million).

The projects, financed by the ADFD, included the construction of a building for the College of Finance and Business, a building for the College of Engineering at the Al al-Bayt University, a building for the College of Nursing, a project to construct and equip a building for the Energy Research and Studies Center at the Al-Hussein Bin Talal University and a building for the College of Pharmacy at Mutah University, an ADFD statement said Tuesday.

The ADFD has financed a number of development projects in Jordan in strategic sectors, such as energy, transportation, water and agriculture, health and education as part of a grant allocated by the United Arab Emirates in 2012 to Jordan, with a value of 4.6 billion dirhams ($1.25 billion), within the Gulf Fund for Development program.

Since 1974, the ADFD has contributed to financing a number of development projects in Jordan, with a total value of about 6.5 billion dirhams ($1.77 billion).
