The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has officially launched a Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the “Development of a 200 MW Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant,” as part of the latest round of direct procurement initiatives.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the project will be implemented under the “Build-Own-Operate” (BOO) model, with the facility to be connected to the national power grid.
Qualified and experienced renewable energy developers are invited to submit their EOIs, starting from April 29.
The full tender documentation, including the REOI, will be available for download on the Ministry’s website (www.memr.gov.jo) starting Thursday, May 15. The documents will detail the participation requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission procedures.
Interested bidders can request the tender documents via email by sending their contact details to the Ministry at yacoub.marar@memr.gov.jo or alaa.hadidi@memr.gov.jo.
This initiative is part of Jordan’s broader strategy to increase the share of renewable energy in its energy mix and achieve its long-term energy goals.
The project is aligned with the energy sector priorities set out in Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision.
