
KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ) Holds a Knowledge Sharing Seminar]

KOICA Jordan Office, in collaboration with KAAJ (KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan), conducted a knowledge-sharing seminar on August 27th, 2025. The seminar focused on ” Capacity Building for Tourism Business Sustainability Management in Jordan (2024-2026), and Capacity Building for Green Hydrogen Technology in Jordan (2023-2025)”.
This seminar aimed to disseminate the knowledge and lessons learned from the KOICA training programs on ” Capacity Building for Tourism Business Sustainability Management in Jordan (2024-2026)” which took place from July 6th – July 19th, 2025 with the participation of 14 officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and ” Capacity Building for Green Hydrogen Technology in Jordan (2023-2025)” which took place from July 30th – August 12th, 2025 with the participation of 8 officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and other governments institutions.
The seminar featured presentations and discussions led by program participants, including:
- ” Capacity Building for Tourism Business Sustainability Management in Jordan,” presented by Mr. Mohammad Arjan – Head of the Diwan and Administrative Services Department – Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
- ” Capacity Building for Green Hydrogen Technology in Jordan,” presented by Eng. Alaa Alshdefat – Engineer – Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources.
The seminar was attended by 40 participants from various government institutions, including the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. It provided a platform for participants to exchange experiences and discuss the potential implementation of acquired knowledge within their institutions.
Since 1991, KOICA has been providing training programs to Jordan as part of its CIAT (Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow) program, aimed at enhancing human resource capacity for the country’s socio-economic development. Over 1,216 Jordanian officials have participated in training programs in Korea to date.
