في ظل تأثر المملكة بموجة حارة وارتفاع درجات الحرارة وجهت مديرية الدفاع المدني مجموعة من الإرشادات الوقائية والنصائح.
ودعت المديرية الى عدم التعرض المباشر لاشعة الشمس، وارتداء الملابس الخفيفة واغطية الرأس.
وقالت المديرية في بيان صحفي انه نظراً للظروف الجوية السائدة وارتفاع درجات الحرارة خلال هذه الأيام تؤكد إدارة الإعلام والتثقيف الوقائي في المديرية العامة للدفاع المدني على ما يلي :
1. عدم التعرض المباشر لأشعة الشمس تفادياً لخطر الإصابة بضربات الشمس والإجهاد الحراري .
2. ارتداء الملابس الخفيفة والفضفاضة.
3. ارتداء أغطية الرأس الواقية والقبعات واخذ قسط من الراحة وخصوصاً الأشخاص العاملين في القطاعات الإنشائية أو الزراعية ومربي المواشي والذين تقتضي طبيعة عملهم البقاء تحت أشعة الشمس المباشرة لفترات طويلة .
4. مراقبة الأطفال وعدم السماح لهم بالخروج من المنزل في الأجواء الحارة .
5. عدم تحميل الاباريز الكهربائية أكثر من طاقتها وذلك بتشغيل مكيفات الهواء والمراوح وغيرها على إبريز واحد .
6. تجنب الخروج للتسوق في وقت الذروة (الظهيرة) وانتقاء الأوقات المناسبة ومراعاة عدم اصطحاب الأطفال أثناء التسوق .
7. تجنب إشعال النار في مناطق الأعشاب الجافة والأشجار الحرجية درءا لنشوب الحرائق .
