أكد رئيس الوزراء الدكتور عمر الرزاز على العلاقات الإستراتيجية الاخوية والتاريخية التي تجمع الأردن والعراق والحرص على تعزيز التعاون المشترك في المجالات كافة خدمة لمصالح البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
كما أكد رئيس الوزراء خلال استقباله في مكتبه أمس، وزير الداخلية العراقي ياسين الياسري بحضور وزير الداخلية سلامة حماد والسفيرة العراقية في عمان صفية السهيل، ان حكومتي البلدين تعملان باستمرار وفي اطار الفريق الواحد على تنفيذ توجيهات قيادتي البلدين للتأسيس لمرحلة جديدة من التعاون المشترك وتذليل أي عقبات تعترضها.
ولفت رئيس الوزراء الى أن الزيارة التاريخية التي قام بها جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني الى العراق العام الماضي والزيارة التي قام بها الرئيس العراقي برهم صالح إلى عمان تؤكد على توفر الإرادة السياسية والرغبة الصادقة بفتح آفاق اوسع للعلاقات الثنائية والتكامل بين البلدين لا سيما في المجالات الاقتصادية والتجارية.
وشدد رئيس الوزراء على أن الأردن سيبقى الدعم والسند والرئة للأشقاء العراقيين وان أمن البلدين كل لا يتجزأ، مشيرا إلى أهمية الجهود التي تبذلها وزارتا الداخلية والأجهزة المختصة في البلدين لضمان تجاوز أي تحديات أمنية وسهولة تنقل المواطنين ورجال الأعمال وسائقي الشاحنات بين البلدين.
وأشار إلى الإجراءات التي اتخذها الأردن من خلال السفارة الاردنية في بغداد لتسهيل حصول العراقيين على التأشيرات .
من جهته، اكد وزير الداخلية العراقي ان زيارته للأردن وهي أول زيارة خارجية يقوم بها منذ تسلمه منصبه، تحمل دلالات كبيرة على انفتاح العراق على الأردن والحرص على تنمية وتطوير العلاقات الثنائية.
ولفت إلى أن الحكومة العراقية تنظر باهتمام لتعزيز العلاقات مع الأردن والتي سيكون لها تأثيرات إيجابية كبيرة على الأوضاع الأمنية والسياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية في العراق، مؤكدا التزام الحكومية العراقية بتنفيذ المشروعات الاستراتيجية بين البلدين ومنها مشروع مد انبوب النفط الذي يوفر للعراق منافذ تصديرية جديدة ويلبي جزءا من احتياجات الاردن من النفط .
