أقرت السلطات السعودية تعديلات جديدة على نظام وثائق السفر والأحوال المدنية، تتيح للمرأة استخراج جواز السفر دون اشتراط موافقة ولي أمرها، وفق ما كان معمولا به في السابق.
وفي هذا الصدد، ذكرت صحيفة “عكاظ” السعودية أن التعديلات، المنشورة على الجريدة الرسمية، شملت “منح جواز السفر لكل من يقدم طلبا بذلك من حاملي الجنسية السعودية، وذلك وفقا لما تحدده اللائحة التنفيذية”.

وقضت التعديلات أيضا بالسماح للمرأة بالتبليغ عن المواليد حالها حال الرجل، حيث شملت التعديلات على المادة 33 في نظام الأحوال المدنية جملة من الفقرات المتضمنة إدراج المرأة في فقرات مواد الأشخاص المكلفين بالتبليغ عن المواليد.
هذا ومنحت التعديلات المرأة حق طلب الحصول على سجل الأسرة من إدارة الأحوال المدنية، بعد تعديل المادة 50.
وتنص المادة الجديدة على أنه “لأي من الزوجين حق طلب الحصول على سجل الأسرة من إدارة الأحوال المدنية، وتقع المسؤولية على الزوج إذا لم يتقدم بطلب استخراجه خلال ستين يوما من تاريخ عقد الزواج، وذلك وفقا لما تحدده اللائحة التنفيذية”.
