The Mexican Ambassador, Roberto Rodriguez, was a guest at Jerash Festival 2021 to follow the performances of the “Yawkwatli Folk Ballet Troupe” on the last day within the activities of the 35th Jerash Festival in the main square, where the performance of the Mexican Folk Ballet Troupe Yakwawatli was presented, where this show witnessed a special presence from the community The Mexican and the Jordanian audience, who enjoyed the beautiful folklore show presented by the band
The Yaokwawtle Folk Ballet was founded by Mr. Oscar Lovano with the main aim of preserving the rich and diverse Mexican culture and customs through traditional dances.
The name of the troupe is composed of two words in the Nahuatl language, (yao) which means “warrior” and (kwawatli) which means “eagle”.

The troupe participated in many international festivals and conferences where its first show was in the First International Conference on Social Sciences “in September 2011, organized by the Autonomous University of Chihuahua and had performances in different cities of Chihuahua such as Delicias, Paral, Cuauhtemoc and Allende, as well as participated in many international forums such as :
The first traditional meeting of Latin American cultures”, in Paraguay and Argentina (August 2012). Part of the Eighth Movement of “Movement is Life” and “Third Cultural Week” of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (April 2013).
“Second Anniversary: From My Mexican Land” at Chihuahua City Theater, Mexico (October 2013).
“Nan Ying International Folklore Festival” where the folk ballet troupe Yaokwawatli represented Mexico and the American continent with the participation of 24 troupes from Asia, Europe, Oceania and Africa with live music for “Latin American Group” in Taiwan, China, (October 2014).
“The 9th Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Art Festival”, where she represented Mexico and the American continent with the participation of 17 countries from all over the world with live music by “Mariachi Juvenel del Rea l”, in China (October 2015).
“The 29th European Folklore Festival” with the music of “Mariachi Garibaldi”.
For the first time in the history of this festival, a Mexican dance troupe participated in this event, in Germany (August 2016).
“The Seventh International Festival of Arts and Culture” in coordination with the Faculty of Art of the University of Srinakharinwirot, where the band represented the American continent, in Thailand (June 2017), in addition to displaying a selected sample of oil paintings presented by art professor Ruth Mora Ordonbes from the University of Chihuahua, which expresses the culture of Tarahumara tribe.
Celebrating the “60th Anniversary of Bilateral Relations between Egypt and Mexico”, at the Embassy of Mexico in Egypt, with the musical performance of “Mariachi Garibaldi”, at Sayed Darwish Theater in Alexandria and El Gomhouria Theater in Cairo, and displaying 12 oil paintings about our different customs.
In the Arab Republic of Egypt (September 2018). Celebration of the “219th Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico” with a musical performance by “Mariachi Garibaldi” at the Consulate of Mexico in Rio de Janeiro and performances in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niterói, at the Cecilia Meirelles Hall, the Niterói Municipal Theater and the Rio de Janeiro Cultural Center, in addition to the show of eleven Graphic work by Art Professor Ruth Mora Ordonbes, Brazil (September 2019).
“The First International Youth Festival”, at Chandigarh University, where the band represented Mexico and the American continent along with the participation of 29 other countries, in the Republic of India (September 2019).
Celebrating the “Bicentennial Anniversary of the End of the Mexican War of Independence” with a live musical performance by “Mariachi Garibaldi”, at the Landmark Hotel in Amman, at the invitation of the Embassy of Mexico in Jordan (September 2021).
“Meeting of Musical Cultures” at the Mexican Restaurant Ceviche, Amman with a live music performance by “Mariachi Garibaldi” in collaboration with (October 2021).
She also participated in the closing ceremony of the “35th Jerash International Festival of Culture and Arts”, where “Mariachi Garibaldi” participated, at the invitation of the Jordanian government and the Mexican embassy, At the end of the show, His Excellency the Ambassador and the band were honored by the Deputy Executive Director of Jerash Festival
