فتحت المساجد في عموم بريطانيا، الأحد، أبوابها للناس من جميع المعتقدات مع
انطلاق فعالية «زر مسجدي» التي تقام سنويًا في البلاد منذ 2015؛ بهدف
تعزيز الحوار بين الأديان.
وشارك أكثر من 250 مسجدا في الفعالية التي
استقبلت بترحيب المواطنين من جميع الديان والمعتقدات. وجرى إشراك الزائرين
في أنشطة تهدف إلى توسيع معرفتهم بالإسلام والمسلمين ومقاصد المساجد.
وفي
تعليق على الفعالية، قال الأمين العام لمجلس مسلمي بريطانيا، هارون خان:
«رغم استمرار وجود أولئك الذين يزرعون الكراهية والفرقة في مجتمعنا، أظهر
المسلمون اليوم في عموم بريطانيا أنه رغم أفعالهم، لكننا مستمرون في القيام
بعكس ما يفعلون من خلال بناء الجسور وتوحيد المجتمعات». كما أعرب عن شكره
«لكل من شارك في الفعالية».
وأقيمت فعالية «زر مسجدي» لهذا العام وسط
ارتفاع حاد في الإسلاموفوبيا، وجرائم الكراهية المعادية للإسلام، مع مهاجمة
المتطرفين اليمينيين للمساجد والمجتمعات الإسلامية في جميع أنحاء المملكة
المتحدة. وقد أشاد زعماء الأديان بالفعالية على اعتبار أنها تعد نجاحا و
مثالا على التسامح والقبول بين المجتمعات المسلمة وغير المسلمة في
بريطانيا.
و»جمعية كينغستون الإسلامية» في جنوب غرب لندن هي واحدة من
