Ukraine: 40,000 fled country in 24 hours

 More than 40,000 Ukrainians fled their country in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of those who have fled the embattled country to almost 4 million, according to the UNHCR.

The New York Times reported that over 10 million Ukrainians have been displaced since the start of the Ukraine crisis, some of whom have crossed the borders into neighbouring countries.
