Moderate weather on Wednesday, hot air mass over weekend

Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to slightly rise but will remain around seasonal average, with moderate weather prevailing in most regions while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

On Thursday, a hot and dry air mass will prevail, pushing temperatures 4-5 degrees above the annual average, and bringing hot weather nationwide. Winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly moderate, picking up at times.

Scorching weather will continue through Friday as the impact of the air mass deepens, with a significant increase in temperatures, easterly moderate winds, and dust in the Badia region.

Today, mercury in Amman is expected to range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius, dropping to 17C at night, meanwhile, the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 39C, dipping to 26 during night hours.
