Fair weather forecast in highlands, hot in other regions

Moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail on Monday in the highlands and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with low-altitude clouds in the northern region, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Similar weather conditions will persist on Tuesday, with westerly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said in its daily brief.

On Wednesday, temperatures will slightly rise, bringing relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, and hot weather in other parts of the country, the meteorologists predicted.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Monday will range between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 20C or even 14C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 40C and a low of 26C.
