Temperatures are expected to be around the seasonal average on Monday, with normal summer weather in the highlands and plains, but hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Clouds at low altitudes are also forecast to appear in the northern and central parts of the country, the JMD said.

However, the Kingdom is set to bake in a new heat wave on Tuesday, with temperatures expected to rise far above the seasonal average, bringing scorching heat to much of the country.

Today’s high temperatures in Amman and other highlands of the Kingdom will be between 32 and 28 C, with lows of 19 C or even 15 C in the southern highlands at night. The temperature will be much hotter in the Gulf city of Aqaba, with a high of 40C and a low of 27C.
