Interior minister, AIMC official talk security cooperation

Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya met with Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC) Muhammad Koman on Thursday to discuss joint Arab security cooperation.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the agenda of the council’s 40th session, slated to be held in Tunisia next March. The agenda includes several security topics, such as terrorism, drugs, electronic crime, and cybersecurity.

Minister Faraya gave notes on some topics included in the session’s agenda. He stressed Jordan’s commitment to implementing the AIMC’s decisions and recommendations and providing support and assistance to its general secretariat, praising the council’s efforts to achieve the desired security cooperation and its accomplishments in combating crime.

For his part, Koman commended Jordan’s active role in supporting and developing the council’s work mechanisms and various organs. He also invited Jordan to participate in the 40th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council meeting.
