JFDA carries out 5,800 inspections since beginning of Ramadan

 The Jordan Food and Drug Administration’s (JFDA) monitoring and inspection teams carried out 5,800 inspections in various areas across the Kingdom within its inspection campaign during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement on Monday, the General Director of the JFDA Nizar Muhaidat revealed that the administration shut down 67 alimentation facilities, suspended 313 facilities and disposed of nearly 60,000 kilograms of foodstuffs that violate health standards and more than 5,000 liters of liquid foodstuffs and 22,000 liters of beverages. It also confiscated 265,000 kilograms of foodstuffs for testing.
