Tender floated to install solar heating systems to low-income households

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Wednesday floated a tender to supply, install and operate solar-powered heating systems to low-income families in the Kingdom’s southern, northern, and central regions.

Rasmi Hamza, director of the Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (JREEEF), indicated that the bid will cover 400 homes per region, with the aim of promoting sustainable energy practices and reducing household electricity bills. Prospective bidders can obtain electronic copies of the tender invitation via the ministry’s website from 6 to 13 July.

Additionally, he added that the deadline for receiving inquiries on the e-mails [email protected] and [email protected] will be on Tuesday18 July, while the last date for bid submission will be on July 27.
