A number of Palestinians suffered from suffocation on Thursday when Israeli troops fired tear gas to break up a demonstration by students in Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank to protest the deadly Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip.

Protesters took to the streets in Bethlehem to denounce the Israeli escalation in blockaded Gaza that left more than 26 Palestinians dead and dozens more injured. They clashed with soldiers at the northern entrance of the biblical city.
