Moderate weather conditions are expected to remain on Monday across the Kingdom with high clouds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Cold weather will prevail at night in most regions, while it will be mild in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with south easterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in badia areas, the JMD added.

Temperatures will slightly rise on Tuesday, but moderate conditions will continue with clouds at various altitudes and south easterly to south westerly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust in the badia, the department further said.

Mercury levels will drop again on Wednesday, bringing partly cloudy skies with a chance for scattered showers, especially in the northern and eastern parts of the country, accompanied by thunder at times in the eastern areas. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk, the JMD noted.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will hover around 20 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern governorates, dropping down at night to 8 and 9 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the southern port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 27 degrees and lows sliding to 14, the JMD added.
