A drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, bringing partly cloudy weather with scattered showers accompanied by thunder at times in the northern, eastern and southern parts of the Kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the badia areas, the JMD said.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 20 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern governorates, dropping down at night to 8 and 9 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the southern port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 27 degrees and lows sliding to 17, the JMD added.

Moderate weather conditions will prevail over the next two days in most regions with low-altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD further said.
