US records 598 new coronavirus-related deaths

The death toll from the novel coronavirus in the United States has reached 104,356, after recording 598 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, according to a running tally by the Johns Hopkins University early Monday.

The total number of the COVID-19 cases in the US, the world’s most affected country by the pandemic, hit 1,788,762, according to statistics of the US Department of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO).
