3 people killed, 20 others injured in multi-vehicle collision

Three people were killed while 20 others sustained various cuts and bruises on Thursday morning after eight vehicles collided on the Desert Highway in the Daba’a area.

In a statement, Spokesperson of the Public Security Department said the Civil Defense Department’s rescue crews administered first aid to the injured and transferred them to the nearest hospital, noting that one person is in critical condition.

A technical committee of the Traffic Department is looking into the accident to pinpoint the causes, he added.
