2 new COVID-19 deaths, 49 infections reported in Syria

 Syria on Monday recorded 2 new fatalities and 49 new cases from the novel coronavirus over the last 24 hours, the country’s Health Ministry said.

The ministry added in a statement that the death toll in the country reached 269, while the overall number of infections climbed to 5,408, adding that the total number of recoveries rose to 1,753, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
