China sees 16 new COVID-19 infections

China on Tuesday recorded 16 new coronavirus infections over the last 24 hours.

The Chinese mainland reported 50 new asymptomatic patients, compared with 161 asymptomatic cases of the day before.

To date, mainland China had 85,826 confirmed coronavirus cases, the health authority said, adding that the COVID-19 death toll stands at 4,634.
