Fair weather forecast today

Mercury levels on Tuesday are expected to rise 3-4 degrees above their annual average, bringing fair weather conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be relatively warm, the Jordan Meteorological Department JMD said in its daily brief.

Clouds at medium altitudes are also expected to appear, with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.

A further rise in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday, so mild conditions will continue to persist in most regions, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the JMD.

Toward night, clouds will gradually build up and rain will fall accompanied by thunder at times in the southern areas of the country, including Aqaba, with southeasterly moderate to active winds, blowing dust in the Badia regions.

On Thursday, the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions, as mercury will dip few degrees, bringing back cold and partly cloudy weather with spotty showers countrywide.

Rainfall is expected to be heavier with thunder, hail and lightning at times, causing flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including Aqaba, the meteorologists predicted.

Temperatures in Amman today will be 18 degrees Celsius, dropping to 8C during night hours, meanwhile the city of Aqaba will see a high of 27C, sliding into 15C at night.
