PM orders extension of online learning through end of 2nd semester

Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Sunday ordered the extension of remote and online learning through the end of the second semester of the current academic year 2020/2021.
According to communiqué 23 of 2021, all schools and universities are required to switch to remote learning except for some university specialties that require traditional learning methods.
Such cases shall be determined by the Minister of Education or the Higher Education Council provided that students and academic staff adhere to social distancing and the use of face coverings.
The communiqué gave the Minister of Education or the Higher Education Council the authority to introduce further extensions to remote learning should the epidemiological situation so requires.
