The Ministry of Transport in Jordan will review its measure to put a 50 percent seating capacity cap for public transport that was introduced to limit the spread of COVID-19, said Minister Wajeeh Azaizeh.

In a meeting with the taxi drivers committees, Sunday, Azaizeh vowed that if the COVID-19 curve flattens by the end of March, the Ministry would lift the cap on the seating capacity, reassuring the convened that the government is keen on supporting public transport.

In the meantime, the Minister warned that flouting the safety measures and exceeding the capacity limit will not be tolerated.
