Mercury levels on Monday are expected to record 5-7 degrees below annual average, so cold weather conditions will prevail in much of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be moderate, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Clouds are also forecast to appear at low altitudes in the northern and central highlands, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the Badia areas, the JMD added.

On Tuesday, temperatures will rise few degrees, making relatively cold weather in the hilly areas and the plains, and fair conditions in other regions, with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD noted.

Mercury will continue to rise on Wednesday, becoming around seasonal average and bringing pleasant and spring-like weather conditions in most parts of the country, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the JMD predicted.

Temperatures in Amman today will reach a high of 15 degrees Celsius, dropping to 6C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a high of 25C, dipping to 15C during night hours.
