– The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) transferred JD85 million to the State Treasury during the first quarter of 2021.

In a statement on Monday, the Commission said it provided the Treasury with approximately JD21.5 million during March as part of the government’s total revenues for its shares, and the revenues of the third-generation services.

Chairman of the Commission’s Board of Commissioners, Ghazi Jabour, said that TRC is the most independent institution to generate revenue to the treasury, with an amount of JD1.948 billion since it was established.

The Commission charges 1 percent of the mobile communications revenues as operational costs, and gets financial resources from the annual revenue of its 10 percent share in the operating revenues of mobile phone companies, as well as its revenues from licenses and permits issuance and renewal, in addition to cash received for its provided services and fines.
