Moderate weather expected to prevail over weekend

 The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said that temperatures on Thursday are expected to mark few degrees below their annual average, so it will be moderate in the highlands and the plains, and relatively hot in other parts of the country.

Low-altitude clouds are also forecast to appear in the northern and central regions, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk at times, the JMD added.

Friday and Saturday are predicted to bring in similar weather conditions, the department further said.

Daytime temperature expected for today will reach 27 degrees Celsius in Amman, 24 in the northern areas and 25 in the southern highlands, dropping down to 15, 11 and 12 respectively. It will be much hotter in the port city of Aqaba as mercury levels will register 36C during daytime, sliding to 18C at night.
