أكد قائد القوات المسلحة الإيرانية، اللواء محمد باقري، أنه لا نية لطهران لغلق مضيق «هرمز»، إلا إذا اضطرت لذلك.
وقال باقري، في تصريح للصحفيين على هامش الملتقى الثالث والعشرين لقادة

فيه خيار غير ذلك»، وذلك وفقا لوكالة «أنباء فارس» الإيرانية.
وقال باقري، إن «القوات المسلحة الإيرانية هي التي تتحمل مسؤولية الأمن
في مضيق هرمز وطهران تريد الأمن وإبقاءه مفتوحا وهو ماقاله المسؤولون مرات
عديدة».
وأردف: إن «القطع البحرية الأمريكية التي تجتاز مضيق هرمز عليها تقديم
الإيضاحات للحرس الثوري الإيراني لأنه يتحمل المسؤولية في تأمينه واستمر
الأمريكيون في هذا النهج لغاية أمس الأول ولم نلاحظ تغييرا في سلوكهم في
مضيق هرمز».
