Global fuel prices rise in 1st week of July

 The prices of oil derivatives in global markets have continued to rise in the first week of July, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The data showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline went up by 6.8 percent, going from $666.7 per ton in June to $712.2 in the first week of July, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $682.9 per ton to $735.8, an increase by 7.7 percent.

Diesel prices also increased by 2.6 percent, going from $579.8 per ton to $594.8, while the prices of kerosene also rose by 2.4 percent, from $601.3 to $615.8 per ton.

The prices of liquefied gas for July went up by 18.2 per cent, going from $524.7 to $620 to per ton.

Benchmark Brent crude prices rose in the first week of the current month, from $72.9 to $76.5 per barrel.
