Hot weather to continue on Tuesday, ease off by Thursday

 Temperatures on Tuesday will be 8 to 10 degrees above their annual average during this time of the year, with hot weather prevailing countrywide, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Wednesday temperatures are also expected to rise few degrees, with southwesterly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust in the Badia and causing low horizontal visibility.

On Thursday, pleasant spring-like weather will make a comeback as mercury levels slightly drop, with clouds at high altitudes and westerly winds, the JMD added.

Mercury in Amman today will range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 16C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 36C, sliding to 21C at night.
