Moderate weather to persist for remainder of week

Moderate weather conditions are forecast to prevail in the highlands on Tuesday, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with temperatures hovering around seasonal average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

On Wednesday and Thursday, similar weather will prevail despite a slight rise in mercury levels, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

Today, mercury in Amman is expected to range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius, dropping to 15C at night, meanwhile the port city of Aqaba will see a scorching 38C, dipping to 25 during night hours.
