Moderate weather to prevail on Thursday

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, bringing moderate weather in the high areas and relatively hot conditions in other regions, with low clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Another rise in mercury levels is expected on Friday, with normal summer weather prevailing in the high areas, while it will be hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Mercury levels will dip again on Saturday, but similar weather will prevail during the day. At night, cooler conditions will reign, with slow winds.

Today, mercury in Amman is expected to range between a high of 32 degrees Celsius, dropping to 19C at night, meanwhile, the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 37C, dipping to 27 during night hours.
