Fair autumn weather forecast until Saturday

Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to hover around the seasonal average, with fair autumn weather prevailing in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be relatively hot, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Clouds at low altitudes are also forecast to appear in the northern and central regions, with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.

As we head into Thursday, a slight drop in mercury levels is expected, becoming 2-3 degrees below their annual average and bringing moderate weather in much of the country, with low clouds and a weak chance of light showers in the northern areas, forecasters predicted.

Friday and Saturday are expected to bring in similar moderate weather conditions, the JMD further added.

Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 29 degrees Celsius and a low of 15C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 34C, sliding to 23C at night.
