Relatively cold weather forecast for weekend

 Relatively cold weather is forecast in most parts of the Kingdom on Thursday, as temperatures will be around their annual average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Clouds will appear at low altitudes, while winds will be southeasterly moderate.

The weather department warned of low visibility due to fog in most areas, and of frost in the early morning hours over the highlands and parts of the Badia.

Similar weather will persist during the weekend, with a slight chance for scattered showers late Saturday in limited areas of the eastern region, the JMD added.

Temperatures in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 14 degrees Celsius and a low of 6C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 22C, sliding to 12C at night.
