Rainfall raises precipitation to 84pct of annual average

 The current rainfall has raised precipitation levels to 84 percent of Jordan’s long-term annual average of 8.1 billion cubic meters, channeling some 2.052 million cubic meters (mcm) into the Kingdom’s dams during the last 24 hours, according to official figures.

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation on Wednesday said 20.8 millimeters (mm) of rain were recorded in Amman, 19.8mm in Balqa, 16.5mm in Madaba, 8.8mm in Zarqa, 17mm in Jerash, 9.7mm in Mafraq, 18.2mm in Irbid, 19.9mm in Ajloun, 16.7mm in Karak, 14.3mm in Tafileh, 14.8mm in Maan, and 12.5 mm in Aqaba.
