Alshaheen News

Five coronavirus patients are currently on ventilators in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) at Prince Hamza Hospital, all of which are in critical condition, the hospital’s director, Abdul Razzaq al-Khushman, told Roya on Saturday.

Al-Khusman said he is expecting an increase in COVID-19 patients whose health status requires using ventilators.

Prince Hamza Hospital has been only receiving coronavirus patients whose health status is between moderate and critical, al-Khushman added.

A total of 247 COVID-19 patients are currently receiving treatment at the hospital and more than 20 cases are expected to be discharged from the hospital today, he added.

Patients who do not show any coronavirus symptoms are transferred to a hospital in the Dead Sea isolation area, he said.

Jordan recorded 68 new coronavirus cases on Friday, 55 of which are local, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 2,301.
