The Kingdom will remain under the impact of unstable weather conditions, with a drop in temperatures. Therefore, it will be dusty nationwide, with moderate weather prevailing in much of the country, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be relatively hot, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its forecast for Sunday.

Clouds at various altitudes are also expected to form, with a chance for scattered showers in different regions, especially in the southeastern and southern highlands, including the Gulf city of Aqaba. Rainfall will be heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and hail, and causing floods in valleys and low-lying areas, while winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly brisk and gusty, with speeds reaching 70km/h in some areas.

Additionally, the weather service issued alerts about flash floods in valleys and lowlands, slick roads in the areas experiencing rain, speed winds, and poor horizontal visibility due to dust.

Toward Monday, similar dusty conditions will persist with cloudy skies and spotty showers in various parts of the Kingdom, mainly the southeastern and southern regions. Downpour could turn heavy often with thunder and hail that leads to the formation of torrential rains in valleys and lowlands. Strong gusts sometimes reach 60 km / h per hour in some areas, the JMD said.

Also today, temperatures in Amman hit 29 degrees Celsius, dropping to 16C during night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 34C, sliding to 23C at night.
