Crown Prince Award for Best Government Services Application launched

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has unveiled the Crown Prince Award for the Best Government Services Application.

The award calls for participants to showcase their ingenuity in developing smartphone and mobile applications that facilitate streamlined government services, in a bid to foster creativity and innovation among Jordanian university students and beneficiaries of the “One Million Jordanian Coders Initiative “.

According to a Ministry statement released on Tuesday, interested candidates must submit their nomination requests through the official website, https://cpgovappaward.jo, accompanied by a compelling 3-minute video and a functional simulation of their application or software development tools.

The Crown Prince Award aims to address real-world challenges faced by government services in sectors such as healthcare, education, transportation, tourism, agriculture, food security, digital economy, financial services, and communication. The competition underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of citizens’ lives.

The coveted award carries a significant prize pool totaling JD100,000, which will be distributed among the top three winners. The first-place winner will receive JD50,000, the second-place winner will be awarded JD30,000, and the third-place recipient will receive JD20,000.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in November, where the winning teams will be celebrated for their remarkable contributions to the advancement of Jordan’s digital ecosystem.
