Hot weather forecast until Thursday, dip in temps Friday

Meteorologists forecast relatively hot weather on Tuesday in most regions of the Kingdom, with the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba experiencing particularly hot temperatures. The winds will be moderate northwest, occasionally increasing in speed.

In its daily brief, the Jordanian Meteorological Department (JMD) warns of the danger of direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours, especially in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

On Wednesday, a slight decrease in temperatures is predicted, but the weather remains until Thursday relatively hot in most areas, and hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. The winds will be moderate northwest, picking up at times.

On the coming Friday, mercury levels will dip a few degrees, becoming around their normal levels for this time of year. The weather in the mountainous regions and plains will be typical summer conditions, but the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will still experience hot weather.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 31 and 35 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 23C or even 18C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 42C and lows of 29C.
