The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that Israeli raids had displaced over 124,000 Palestinians (17,000 families) in Gaza as of Sunday evening.

The OCHA’s situation report, obtained by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Monday, stated that 73,538 internally displaced persons reside in 64 UNRWA schools, some designated as emergency shelters.

The report cited Palestinian authorities as saying that at least 413 Palestinians were killed and 2,300 others were injured by Israeli occupation forces.

Israeli air strikes and bombing destroyed four residential towers in Gaza City, without warning residents to evacuate their homes, said the report.

According to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Gaza, 159 housing units were destroyed, while 1,210 others were severely damaged.

The report added that 6 healthcare workers lost their lives and 4 others sustained injuries due to the Israeli air strikes, which also caused damage to 7 healthcare facilities and 9 ambulances. Moreover, the damage inflicted on water and sanitation facilities by the air strikes has negatively impacted the provision of water, sanitation, and healthcare services for over 400,000 individuals.

The main limitations and gaps are the absence of electricity and internet which prevent frontline workers from helping children connect with their parents during family visiting services and limits access to basic emergency information such as ambulances, police, and civil defense, the report highlighted.
