PSD Chief: Security agency seeks to enhance ties with peers

Public Security Department (PSD) Director, Maj. Gen. Fadel Hamoud, said on Tuesday that his security agency is looking forward to boosting cooperation with peers across the world to enhance its experience in combatting crime.

He said at a meeting with Chinese ambassador, Pan Weifang, that the PSD is seeking to improve officers’ performance and enhance service to citizens and those living in the Kingdom through holding joint training programs that best serve both sides.

The PSD chief and the Chinese envoy discussed ways of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two countries’ security agencies.

For his part, Weifang applauded the PSD’s advanced level, which, he said, he had witnessed during his stay in the Kingdom, pointing to his country’s willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the security fields.
