UN Security Council to discuss Libya tomorrow

The UN Security Council on Monday will hold a session to extend the mandate of the Panel of Experts assisting the Libya Sanctions Committee and renew the measures against illicit crude oil exports from Libya until 20 February 2020.

According to the final report of the Panel of Experts, six illegal attempts to export crude oil were recorded between August 2017 and August 2018.

The report also tackled the Libyan divisions over the distribution of economic resources.
