Palestinian seriously wounded by Israeli forces in occupied Jerusalem

Israeli paramilitary police Saturday shot and seriously wounded a young Palestinian in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

Israel radio said that police stationed at Bab Al-Asbat (Lion’s Gate) opened fire on the youth, who was not identified, for allegedly trying to attack soldiers at the site.

Israeli occupation authorities immediately imposed a tight security cordon after the shooting, closing all gates and denying Palestinians entry to and out of the Old City.
