UK health minister tests positive for Coronavirus

The United Kingdom’s health minister, Nadine Dorries, on Tuesday announced she has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

In a statement, Dorries said she had taken all the advised precautions after finding out and has been self-isolating at home.

Health secretary, Matt Hancock, tweeted that he was “really sorry” Dorries tested positive and that she “has done the right thing”.

“I understand why people are worried about this disease. We will do all we can to keep people safe, based on the best possible science”, he added.

This comes as a sixth person died from the virus in the UK, which has a total of 382 cases.
